Description and Requirements

General Description: Responsible for accurate and timely handling of issuing policies and processing endorsements. Support Underwriting and Brokerage teams. Maintain the integrity of clients’ electronic files. 

Responsibilities: 
Provide prompt, knowledgeable service of requested policy transactions through multiple programs. 
Review binders, rate sheets, and applications against policies to ensure accuracy. Add surplus lines information/documentation to policies. 
Ensure state surplus lines requirements are met before releasing the policy to the agent.
Update status in company system to reflect policy mailed out.
Email required carrier documentation after policy is issued.
File all policy documentation electronically. Ensure filing is in accordance with company workflows, procedures, and best practices.
Review reports and confirm policy issuance remains compliant and within guidelines.
Correspond directly with underwriting and brokerage account team. Includes transactions with discrepancies, missing documentation, or items that require clarification. 
Respond to internal requests for information, documents, and general policy inquiries.
Meet or exceed individual daily processing requirements and monthly accuracy goals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
3 years + of insurance experience. 
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 
Knowledge of AIM/ImageRight preferred. 
Detail oriented. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload while meeting deadlines. 
Must demonstrate an aptitude to obtain knowledge of the insurance contracts and coverages being underwritten in the department.  
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
