About the Role:

The Vice President of Corporate Communications and Media Relations leads USI’s internal and external communication strategies to enhance brand visibility, engage employees, and support business goals. In this pivotal role, you will oversee employee communications, public relations, and media engagement, with a focus on innovation and alignment with company objectives.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute strategic communication initiatives for both internal and external audiences.
  • Manage the weekly employee newsletter and support communications for HR, IT, Legal, Procurement, Sales, and other corporate functions.
  • Shape and deliver high-impact messaging for CEO town halls, board presentations, and executive announcements.
  • Partner with marketing to design multi-channel campaigns that advance brand positioning and align with corporate standards.
  • Lead crisis communication planning and serve as the primary media liaison to protect and enhance USI’s reputation.
  • Develop media strategies that position USI as an industry leader, including executive interviews, press releases, and proactive outreach. Track coverage using media monitoring tools.
  • Oversee social media strategy across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Manage industry rankings, award programs, and maintain communication guidelines to ensure consistency and excellence.

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in corporate communications or public relations; insurance industry experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Expertise in writing, editing, and delivering compelling presentations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, high-impact projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain media relationships with a comprehensive understanding of the media landscape.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365; experience with Marketo and Meltwater is preferred.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools for enhancing communication strategies.

$190k-$200k plus 30% bonus
