Description and Requirements
The Role:
As a Producer Account Executive, you will be responsible for retaining a significant book of business and ensuring that all service needs are met. You will play a key role in both new and renewal marketing, providing outstanding customer service and leadership to your accounts.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a complex book of business generating $1M+ in revenue, ensuring high retention rates.
- Provide technical expertise in evaluating client needs, coverage forms, and quotations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans tailored to each client's goals.
- Establish expectations for the service model and deliver on those commitments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives.
- Oversee or manage account marketing efforts, leveraging established markets and potentially developing new ones.
- Research market trends, develop strategies, and negotiate favorable arrangements and relationships.
- Direct the development of submissions and proposals.
- Market, place, and review new and renewal insurance programs, including proposal preparation and presentation.
- Respond promptly to client requests for information, documents, and general insurance inquiries.
- Address underwriter questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
- Develop Client Service Plans and coordinate with internal teams to meet deadlines.
- Negotiate final terms and conditions with carriers as needed.
- Identify client risks and exposures, summarize findings, and recommend strategic solutions aligned with organizational culture and mission.
- Educate, advise, and serve as a technical expert for clients on all lines of business insurance topics.
- Conduct on-site client meetings and maintain a strong presence through regular visits.
- Stay current on new product knowledge, legislation, coverages, and technology.
What We're Looking For:
- 5-10 years of insurance brokerage experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Deep understanding of insurance line of business coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain Property & Casualty and/or appropriate business licensure.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior-level management and possess an executive presence.
