Description and Requirements

General Description: Support Select (small business) property and casualty regional sales teams. Provide technical expertise in collaboration with the Select National Technical Resource Leader. Includes program design, limit review and benchmarking, experience modification review, coverage placement and carrier relations, and claim analysis. 

Responsibilities:
Assist in providing Select property and casualty analytics. Includes ModMaster, property valuations, coinsurance penalty calculations, flood zone determinations, and cyber breach estimators.   
Review contracts relative to insurance requirements. Includes structure, coverage, limits, deductibles, retentions, and classifications. Identify areas of noncompliance and recommend improvements.  
Utilize benchmarking. Help clients and prospects optimize the design and structure of their insurance programs. 
Utilize ReferenceConnect to assist with classification reviews and policy reviews. 
Participate and contribute ideas/solutions in Select meetings. Foster more engagement with tech resources and improve the effectiveness of new business.
Provide training/mentoring to Select sales associates on analytics and technical knowledge.  
Provide guidance to Select sales associates and Practice Leaders regarding claims. 
Support building and maintaining of strong relationships with insurance carriers.
Collaborate with other national technical peers and inter-regional shared resources. Includes building, refining, training, and implementing value differentiators. 
Work with internal partners and external customers to create improved products and services.
Comply with USI’s policies and procedures. Ensure all activities follow local, state, and federal regulations and laws.  
Promote/enhance the reputation of USI with centers of influence, prospects, and carriers.
Willingness to travel on occasion as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
3-5 years of property & casualty experience with an insurance brokerage. Comprehensive knowledge of technical experience, risk management, claims, and/or risk control.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
Must hold a Property & Casualty insurance license.   
Experience interpreting and complying with contractual coverage requirements of all types. 
Broad knowledge of analytics software including ModMaster, NCCI, ReferenceConnect, Advisen, and CoreLogic.
Ability to interpret and analyze a broad range of information. Includes P&C policies, endorsements, loss runs, claim scenarios, financial statements, contracts, experience modification worksheets, and property valuations. 
Ability to develop proactive risk mitigation plans. Includes utilizing a combination of claim review, loss control recommendations, and analytics. 
Ability to demonstrate general business acumen and financial agility. 
Self-motivated and ability to work independently while prioritizing tasks and managing workload. 
Ability to evaluate loss trends and loss drivers and execute plans to mitigate client costs. 
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills. 
Professional demeanor and detail oriented. Ability to think outside the box. 
Working knowledge of agency automation systems and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Salary Range:  $95,000- $110,000,  This is a bonus eligible position with a target incentive of 10%.
