Description and Requirements
The Role:
As an Individual Service Account Manager, you will provide essential support and guidance to clients on benefit and claim-related inquiries. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive timely and accurate assistance, helping them navigate their health insurance needs with confidence.
What You'll Do:
- Assist clients with claims, billing, enrollment, and general servicing inquiries.
- Address administrative questions related to enrollment, eligibility, and special contract provisions.
- Advise clients during annual open enrollment on renewal options and alternative carriers.
- Handle all inbound and outbound client calls with professionalism and efficiency.
- Resolve day-to-day client issues with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Coordinate onboarding for new clients, ensuring accurate and timely setup.
- Process policy changes, endorsements, and other requests from clients and sales representatives.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Initiate and follow up on broker of record changes and account terminations.
- Adhere to established workflows and system processes for Account Managers.
- Meet individual and team performance targets, processing work volume within defined goals and timelines.
- Respond to emails and voicemails within 24 business hours; resolve within 3 business days.
- Contact clients with delinquent and non-payment accounts to secure payment and correct billing discrepancies.
- Submit appropriate notification forms to the commission department.
- Maintain accurate client and team information in the agency management system.
What We're Looking For:
- Accident & Health license required, or ability to obtain within three months from date of hire.
- 2+ years of experience in individual health insurance, preferably within a brokerage environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Familiarity with health insurance products, services, market trends, and competitive offerings.
- Understanding of health and ancillary benefit plan designs and claim procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use and interpret benefit-related data and figures.
- Creative and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Effective communication skills for interactions with co-workers, brokers, clients, and carriers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
