The Role:

As a Preferred Client Services Account Manager, you will play a vital role in servicing, retaining, and supporting the sales of Personal Risk client accounts assigned to our Customer Care Center. Your responsibilities will include managing new and renewal marketing, responding to client inquiries, and reviewing policies and coverage to ensure our clients receive exceptional service and support.

What You'll Do:

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls and participate in the daily rotating call queue.
  • Independently service client accounts using carrier websites and online rating systems.
  • Provide technical expertise in servicing new and existing clients through account development, problem-solving, and sales support aligned with USI Core Values.
  • Respond to client requests and insurance inquiries across all Personal Lines Property & Casualty coverages.
  • Prepare and submit applications for new business and remarketing to carriers, and follow up to ensure timely quotes and policy issuance.
  • Respond to underwriters’ questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate client files and documentation per company workflows and best practices, ensuring data integrity in agency management systems.
  • Refer clients to carriers for direct claim reporting and submit first reports for specialty markets when needed.
  • Stay current on industry developments, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Personal Lines Property & Casualty insurance with a comprehensive understanding of coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Must hold a Property & Casualty insurance license or obtain within an agreed timeframe.
  • Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, CPCU are preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Sagitta/WorkSmart is a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage workflow efficiently.
