Description and Requirements
General Description: Assist with managing operational activities of assigned Select Service team members. Serve as a consultative account manager for key Commercial Lines Select clients with revenue between $5,000 - $15,000. Ensure service team maintains 92% or above client retention. Support the USI sales process by onboarding new clients effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Manage five or more employees through performance reviews, performance improvement plans, setting priorities, developing work plans and schedules, handling department issues, recording time and attendance, and approval of expense reports.
- Provide strong insurance technical expertise to both clients and Select team members.
- Partner with SCL Regional Manager in support of company operational objectives.
- Maintain quality control of team renewal expirations to avoid any lapses in coverage. Ensure team members are addressing renewals in a timely manner.
- Monitor adherence to service standards through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting.
- Perform periodic quality audits, when necessary.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and development of assigned team as designated by the SCL Regional Manager.
- Oversight of outsourcing initiative, including integration of new and existing carrier service centers.
- Manage client accounts in accordance with USI guidelines and key performance indicators. Occasional outside service visits to clients may be required.
- Adherent to company’s credit and collection policy in invoicing and pursuing prompt payments. Request policy cancellations in accordance with company standards.
- Keep current on industry information, technology, and trends.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5 years + experience in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Agency.
- College degree preferred.
- Prior managerial experience with the ability to manage others effectively.
- Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, and CPCU preferred or expected to pursue a designation.
- Ability to conduct complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, team environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
