Apply nowGeneral Description: Responsible for the management of a complex book of business as the day-to-day client contact. Activities include new and renewal marketing, fielding questions, requests and coverage review.
Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage a complex book of business with various funding methods and increased levels of customization.
- Act as the primary contact between clients and carriers.
- Provide insurance expertise to clients and act as a knowledge resource for other members of the team.
- Manage client renewals and negotiate with carriers on behalf of clients.
· Consult and advise clients on renewal options (products and funding) available and alternative carriers. Identify problems, summarize and develop strategic solutions to maintain client satisfaction.
- Educate, advise and aid client on all Compliance topics including, but not limited to ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s and Health Care Reform.
- Champion client cross-selling initiatives and develop customer accounts.
- Conduct on-site meetings to communicate or administer benefit plans.
- Develop alternative strategies, plan modeling and cost reduction opportunities.
- · Regular client contact and in-person attendance at client meetings.
· Process all policy changes, endorsements and other requests as needed.

- Responsible for the marketing and placement of new benefit products.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· 5+ years experience in employee benefits industry or related marketplace. Brokerage environment and bachelor’s degree preferred. Accident & Health license is required or ability to obtain within three months from date of hire.

· Keep informed about industry information, technology and trends.
· Detailed understanding of all types of health and ancillary benefit plan designs and claim procedures.
· Basic understanding of underwriting and alternate funding arrangements. Including full and partially insured, minimum premium, self-insured, etc.
· Experienced in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
