Apply nowGeneral Description: Serve as an extension of the sales team. Deliver Emerson Roger’s and My Benefit Advisor’s value added services for employee welfare benefit plans and other employee benefits. Work closely with the SVP Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Legislative Awareness & Training to develop support for staff, brokers, and clients. Includes troubleshooting, training, and presentations. Meet with leading brokers, ER partners, and MBA partners in various regions.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Compliance leadership on the creation of employee benefit training materials. Includes webinars/seminars, checklists, and calendars.
- Serve as subject matter expert on employee benefit issues. Includes ERISA, COBRA, Medicare, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, USERRA, etc.
- Educate internal staff, brokers, and clients on current trends in the health care industry.
- Proactively contact internal staff and outside brokers to ensure compliance.
- Meet with clients as needed.
- Field questions from internal staff and clients on various employee benefit issues.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate regulations for clients and internal staff.
- Develop marketing tools to improve the education of products to brokers and their clients.
- Work with internal teams to deliver marketing tools to their clients.
- Identify opportunities for program improvement and recommend initiatives for improvements.
- Stay informed on industry information, regulations, technology, and trends.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5-7 years of compliance experience for Group, Medicare or Individual insurance and/or account management.
- Bachelors degree required.
- Must hold or obtain Accident & Health license within three months of hire.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret regulations.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include walking, sitting, standing, bending, and typing.
Analysis of Physical Demands:
- Constantly (over 66% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as typing, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk.
- Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand, and bend.
- Occasionally (1%-33% of time) work performed requires employees to travel to other offices, have repetitive foot movements, walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend.
- Rarely (< than 1 hour per week) work performed requires lifting/carrying items that range from 10-50lbs, pushing/pulling items that range from 10-50lbs, twisting/turning including reaching over shoulder or above head, kneeling or squatting.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
