National Commercial Lines Project Manager

Apply nowGeneral Description: Oversees the planning, implementation and tracking of specific short-term & long-term projects, with defined lifespans (starting and ending dates) and specified milestones and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all the following as it relates to planning, managing, implementing, monitoring & evaluating the project:
- Manage projects, as assigned, supporting Commercial Lines Top Priorities
- Define the scope of the project in collaboration with the National CL Operations team
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project including timeframe for completion
- Determine resources needed for projects
- Determine objectives and measures the project will be evaluated against, at its completion
- Manage the project according to established CL Best Practices
- Execute the project according to the project plan
- Develop records to document project activities
- Evaluate the outcome of the projects as established during the planning phase
- Establish a communication schedule to update appropriate audience on the project’s progress
- Meet with National CL Operations Manager on a regular basis to review the status of the project schedule and timetable
- Adhere to CL Best Practices, Workflows, Core Values and Risk Management Program
- All other projects assigned by the National CL Operations Manager
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 10 years experience in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Agency along with comprehensive understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages.
- High School Graduate. College degree preferred, but not required.
- In depth knowledge of agency management system functionality, workflow procedures, underwriting, sales and service processes.
- Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license or willing to obtain one within an agreed upon timeframe.
- Ability to plan and instruct staff members on information appropriate to their job responsibilities.
- Ability to creatively and proactively problem solve.
- Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
- Must be comfortable with internet-based programs as well as knowledge of Microsoft office products. Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
- Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
- Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts. Ability to work in a team environment.
- Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.

Salary Range: $115,000- $130,000. This is a bonus eligible position with a target incentive of 10%.
