General Description: Responsible for management of the Sr. Accounts Receivable (AR) Staff Accountant collection team. Ensure the team’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are met. 

Responsibilities: 
Oversees work product and workflow for assigned team. Includes approving timecards and PTO requests. Assist with performance management and reviews. 
Oversight of team performance through monthly audits of activities and scorecards. 
Act as primary resource for dispute resolution.
Onboard and train new staff. Provide ongoing remediation training for existing staff.
Assist with carrier payable advance reporting. Includes working with senior AR team for resolution.
Manage charge backs for unpaid receivables.
Assist with completion of the agency bill allowance calculations.
Ensure collections are performed in a timely manner and in accordance with corporate policy.
Attend bad debt allowance calls with Senior Staff Accountants on a routine basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
4 years + of progressive experience working in an AR department required. Includes account reconciliation and commercial collections experience. 
2 years + of previous supervisory experience preferred within an AR Department. 
Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred. 
Knowledge of general accounting principles.
Insurance Industry Experience is a plus. 
Strong work ethic with a defined sense of urgency.
Organized self starter that works well in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and retention of pertinent information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel required.
Accurate and fast data entry.
