Apply nowGeneral Description: Assist in the management, training, and leadership of employee benefits analytical team. Provide mentorship on daily work products and processes. Provide oversight of financial analysis and deliverables for clients with 100 lives and larger.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for recruitment, selection, onboarding, management, and development of up to 35 employees.
• Provide guidance and support to analysts on financial and utilization data analysis.
• Participate in the peer review process, primarily as a reviewer for all analysts. Mentor all level analysts via their reviewed work.
• Act as analytical team escalation point for complex issues and questions.
• Act as expert resource for sales executives. Support associates in the development of strategic plans and solutions for prospects and clients.
• Oversee creation of financial reporting packages in alignment with the client service calendar. Includes post-renewal, mid-year, pre-renewal, and renewal.
• Work with service team to ensure clients’ strategic objectives are clearly articulated. Deliver proactive solutions.
• Participate in strategic client meetings for complex clients as needed.
• Participate in the sales process and sales presentations for prospects as needed.
• Coordinate team workflow and case assignments.
• Develop new processes and procedures for team effectiveness/efficiency and to enhance client service.
• Develop and track team goals. Complete performance management process.
• Develop and execute team training. Educate team members on work processes and procedures, new product information, laws, and regulations.
• Keep current on industry and new product information, legislation, technology, and trends.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• 8 years + experience in employee benefits related field.
• High School graduate. College degree preferred.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a Life & Disability license.
• Ability to manage a team of associates.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
• Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate deliverables.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong functional knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
