Apply nowGeneral Description: Provides highly technical support to clients and members of USI’s Commercial Lines Account Management and Sales Executive teams to appropriately analyze, design, market, price, and place risks. Makes fact-based recommendations to clients to solve their insurance issues.
Responsibilities:
- Risk profile using models and resources.
- Negotiate underwriting terms coverage and pricing with carrier underwriting partners on behalf of clients.
- Participate in the development of department policies on a national and local basis.
- review clients' data and existing insurance policies and make recommendations for improvement.
- May assess clients’ contractual liabilities and alignment with their insurance policies and make recommendations for improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, qualities and Abilities:
- 2-3 years in a Commercial Lines agency with underwriting and technical experience. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Must hold or be willing to earn Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred
- Deep, technical knowledge of commercial insurance.
- Strong business, negotiation, and data interpretation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of Sagitta / ImageRight preferred, but not required.
