Apply nowGeneral Description: Primary account responsibility for retaining significant book of business. Responsible for managing client satisfaction and ensuring service needs are met. Activities included, but not limited to new and renewal marketing, handling client questions and requests and consistently providing excellent customer service and leadership to accounts. Required to perform essential functions and meet service standards and Best Practices developed by USI.
Responsibilities:
· Manages or directs a complex book of business over 500k in revenue to ensure retention of book of business.
· Provides technical expertise in analyzing client needs, coverage forms and quotations.
- Establishes Strategic Plan for clients
- Establishes general expectations for service model
- Responsible for C-Suite relationships
· Manages or directs account marketing, generally utilizing established markets but may be responsible for market development.
· Research market trends, develops strategies and negotiates favorable arrangement and relationships.
· Manages or directs the development of submissions as well as proposals.
- Market, place and review of new and renewal insurance programs, including proposal preparation and presentation.
- Respond to client requests for information, documents, and general insurance inquiries. Handle all aspects of line of business.
- Respond to underwriters questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain client files accurately and consistently; responsible for proper documentation of files and proper communication to all in accordance with company workflows, procedures and best practices. Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
- Generate Client Service Plan and coordinate with team to meet assigned deadlines
- Negotiate final terms and conditions with carrier as needed.
- Identify problems, exposures, summarize and develop strategic solutions with the client by incorporating the company’s culture, mission and future staffing needs into our recommended strategic solutions.
- Educate, advise and be a technical expert for clients on all line of business insurance topics.
- Frequent, outside service visits, to the client, are required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5-10 years experience in Insurance line of business along with comprehensive understanding of insurance line of business coverages, underwriting and rating concepts.
- High School Graduate. 4 year College degree preferred, but not required.
- Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Hold an industry designations as appropriate for line of business
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong ability to problem solve, make independent decisions with minimal oversight, set and meet deadlines, communicate, negotiate, work under pressure, organize, prioritize, manage multiple tasks and operate in a fast paced environment.
- Keep informed and further industry education, new product knowledge, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance with the ability to articulate and educate those around them.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
- Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.
