General Description: Corporate Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Corporate office, located in Valhalla, NY, with journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis. This position also assist in maintaining fixed assets, filing property taxes and preparing direct bill lag calculations for our 100 retail offices located across the country.
Responsibilities:
· Complete DB Lag Calculations/Lag Study Analysis
· Maintain Intangibles - Amortization & Reconciliation
· Maintain Prepaid schedules and Liability reconciliations.
· Maintain Fixed Assets/WIP Transfers
· Monthly expense allocations
· Concur/ Monthly Accruals
· Assist with payroll entries
· Complete daily funding requests and run daily ACH report
· Assist with EFT approvals
· Complete Property Taxes
· GL Account Analysis
· Bank reconciliations
· Assist with month-end account reconciliations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Bachelors Degree in Accounting / Finance
· Two to four years of progressive accounting and financial experience
· Experience with account reconciliations preferred
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and adherence to strict deadlines
· Efficient and accurate data entry skills required
· Positive attitude, self motivated, team player
· CashPro Online or other online banking experience an advantage
· Intermediate Excel skills required
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including; telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include; walking, sitting, standing, bending and fingering.
Analysis of Physical Demands:
· Constantly (over 66% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as fingering, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk.
Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand and bend.
· Occasionally (1%-33% of time) walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend.
· Rarely (< than 1 hour per week) work performed requires Lifting/Carrying items that range from 10-50lbs, pushing/pulling items that range from 10-50lbs, twisting/ turning including reaching over shoulder or above head , kneeling or squatting.
