General Description: The Technical Analyst will be responsible for creating data files, auditing the data in COMET as needed to ensure the policy level detail is accurate, by carrier, by coverage and by commission type. The Technical Analyst will spend 10% processing commission statements or resolving inquiries tied to carrier updates and 90% of their time working on data changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with management across the company to create data files and reports as needed
  • Complete and deliver accurate reports using the Formsite as requested by the Ops Teams and Account Executives
  • Refresh monthly queries to provide data files to specific agents and agencies, reports are time sensitive
  • Create bulk uploads to assist the Commissions Department as well as the Operations Teams, the uploads track changes, block transfers, policy # changes, commission type changes, these changes are all created throughout the month to facilitate commission processing
  • Identify data clean-ups as needed
  • Point person for specific reporting needs
  • Resolve data discrepancies, audit uploads as they are being created
  • Resolve commission inquiries that are assigned thru SharePoint or created as a result of a change in Commission or Agent change

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert Level Excel Skills (VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLES, MACROS)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Time Management Skills
  • Ability to stay organized and focused in a busy environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Professional and dependable
  • Demonstrates cooperation and collaboration in a team setting
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel Queries (large data files, formatting, formulas)
  • 3+ years working in a similar environment
  • Bachelor's degree required
