Network Engineer

Apply nowGeneral Description: Provide computer services and support to all USI offices and clients. Manage and maintain our Enterprise Network infrastructure and related systems. Contributing on a team providing general Tier-2 and 3 services to the organization.
Responsibilities:
· Installation, maintenance, administration, and upgrades of the enterprise Network Infrastructure Platforms.
· Monitor network systems and data centers to ensure peak performance.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve system outages, working with vendors as necessary.
· Work with applicable parties on network implementation, optimization, security and ongoing management.
· Develop preventative maintenance programs, business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Maintain, document, and test these plans regularly.
· Adhere to the design, programming, and application standards and best practices.
- Work support ticket queues and resolve in a timely manner
· Resolve operational issues and manage server systems. Including but not limited to maintaining security patch cycles. May require working after hours or on weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Cyber Security Job Responsibilities:
· Operate in accordance with USI Policies for the Information Security Program (PISP) and USI Standards for the Information Security Program (SISP)
· Keep up to date with security updates and improvements. Implement improvements as appropriate.
· Protect systems against unauthorized access by appropriately defining access.
· Upgrade systems by implementing and maintaining security and technical controls.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· CCNA certification is preferred
· BA/BS degree in technical discipline preferred
· 3+ years’ experience in an enterprise setting
· Prior experience with router/switch/firewall installation and configuration required
· Firewall experience required
· Experience with wireless LAN controllers preferred
· Understanding of VoIP/Video interaction with the network
· Experience coding/scripting/APIs and automation is a plus
· Prior experience with Microsoft Office and ServiceNow preferred

- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
