Investment Analyst

Apply nowThe Investment Analyst is responsible for undertaking financial research and reporting on prospective investment avenues. The Investment Analyst should be able to analyze and interpret capital market and economic events/trends, as well as evaluate investment performance versus relevant benchmarks. Additional responsibilities include participating in fund manager due diligence calls/presentations, project work (as requested).
Responsibilities:
· Work with USI Advisor’s Director of Research to monitor investments across assigned asset classes and ensure processes are in line with best practices.
· Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies.
· Responsible for regular written assessment fund/market commentary for client / prospect use.
· Maintain and assess proprietary quantitative data for investment manager evaluation.
· Maintain and assess proprietary quantitative models.
· Monitor investment performance, risk levels, investment strategy and objective changes.
· Maintain and assess custom Morningstar Reports.
· Conduct due diligence on asset managers.
· Prepare reports for client and investment committee meetings.
· Collaborate with research/investment analysts on fund and market related analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· 3+ years of relevant working experience preferred.
· Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Economics, or Business Administration) preferred.
· Series 65 or equivalent desirable or willing to obtain.
· CFA and/or MBA certification or working towards obtaining desirable
· Advanced Computer knowledge (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Morningstar; and database management).
· Ability to solve creatively and proactively problem-solve, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
· Ability to stay organized and focused on a busy environment.
· Effective communication skills with clients and co-workers, both verbal and written.
· Personable and credible.
· Demonstrates cooperation and collaboration in a team setting.
