General Description: Lead business-wide internal and external communications initiatives. Develop and execute media/public relations strategies to increase awareness of USI brand. 

Oversight and execution of social media content showcasing USI media features. Includes interviews, corporate awards, company announcements, diversity and inclusion, and employee program initiatives.
Manage USI’s corporate industry ranking and award program nominations, partnering with internal stakeholder groups to ensure annual submissions are completed in a timely manner. 
Plan and schedule media interviews with USI subject matter experts.
Monitor and track publication of external media features relating to USI.
Manage ongoing media-related content updates on company website.
Monitor and report on USI’s presence on external recruitment websites, such as Glassdoor, Indeed, and Comparably. Assess new opportunities for enhanced engagement and employer branding in support of USI’s external recruitment efforts.
Provide communication and project management assistance for employee programs and corporate initiatives. Includes regular communications support for DE&I, employee engagement and recognition, volunteering, and corporate sustainability.
Collaborate with DE&I program team on monthly diversity themes and the development of internal and external communications. 
Oversee day-to-day management of the internal Corporate Communications mailbox. Coordinate timely responses to internal employee and external inquiries.
Provide ongoing internal content management activities related to USI’s Intranet. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
4 years + of communications or media experience. Insurance or financial services industry experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
Excellent written communication and editing skills.
Experience with social media platforms and external employer branding/recruiting sites. Includes LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Glassdoor, Indeed, and Comparably.
Content management experience using Episerver and SharePoint preferred.
Familiarity with media monitoring software preferred.
Strong team player attitude.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, including PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
