The Leadership Recruiter is responsible for the full life cycle recruitment for strategic leadership roles for Leadership talent in Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits on a national basis.

This Recruiter can be based in one of our offices OR can be virtual, anywhere in the US.


  • The Leadership Recruiter will guide and partner with hiring managers to identify, attract, assess and hire the best talent for Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits lines of business.

  • Lead and execute Practice Leader searches nationally; directly source passive candidates through multiple channels - strategic research, prospecting, networking, and employee referrals to build a robust leadership talent pipeline

  • Data integrity: Manage prospect data, requisitions, candidate information and relevant notes in recruitment CRM (Avature)

  • Manage daily required activity to meet goals; sourcing, calling prospects, discussing the USI employee value proposition, phone interviews, scheduling meetings and managing the candidate through the entire process

  • Debrief managers and candidates

  • Negotiate offers

  • Partner with peer group to establish best practices; ensure consistent brand marketing & USI messaging; share leads and competitive intelligence

  • Involved with the tracking of key metrics


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong ability to fully manage "client" relationships with Regional Management teams –strong/proactive communicator, strong degree of confidence, ability to fully partner on leadership staffing needs        

  • Superior Research and Sourcing skills and a willingness/enthusiasm for candidate outreach (to passive candidates) is essential

  • Self-starter with a superior work ethic and a defined sense of urgency is a must

  • An understanding and appreciation of broader Human Resources practices and success in navigating a highly matrixed organization is necessary

  • Insurance or Financial Services recruitment experience is preferred

  • 7- 10 years of full lifecycle recruitment experience in sales recruiting required with an emphasis on executive recruitment

  • 4-year degree is required

  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and situation with discretion

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities

  • Some travel required
