The Role:

The Division Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing all operational functions and teams that support revenue retention and growth within the Wholesale & MGA Division. This role ensures strategic alignment across departments and drives operational excellence to meet financial and performance goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and develop operations across underwriting, retention, account management, systems support, technical resources, training, customer service, and other assigned functional teams.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive retention strategies to support the division’s financial growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior division leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including licensing, E&S filings, and carrier contracts.
  • Partner with division leadership to develop and manage the annual department budget, aligning with new business, retention, and staffing goals.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to recommend staffing solutions that meet operational needs and staffing targets.
  • Identify and implement continuous operational improvements to enhance client, customer, and broker retention, as well as support new business growth.
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures, workflows, and performance goals across the division.
  • Define and monitor operational goals, targets, and KPIs. Ensure accountability and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Manage and execute the renewal solicitation process across the Wholesale & MGA division. Improve retention through targeted strategies, expanded product offerings, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve submit/quote/bind metrics, staff productivity, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Practice Leaders to drive audit improvements, coordinating with internal and external audit teams as needed.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to inform strategic decisions.

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience in a commercial Property & Casualty insurance agency, with a focus on retail and/or wholesale operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior managerial experience required with strong team leadership capabilities.
  • Expert understanding of Property & Casualty insurance.
  • Must hold a Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products, with advanced skills in Excel (e.g. pivot tables) and Power BI.
  • Experience with the AIM agency management system and ImageRight document management system preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of agency management systems and Commercial Lines operations required. Experience with Sagitta/ImageRight preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a creative, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
