Wholesale & MGA Operations Leader

Apply nowGeneral Description: Responsible for managing the operational activities of the Wholesale and MGA Division. Responsible for creating and implementing operational efficiencies and corporate cross-functional initiatives to reach profitability and service goals for the Wholesale/MGA division.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full-cycle management and development of team.
- In partnership with the President of Wholesale and MGA, create, execute and lead the business growth goals and strategy.
- Keep staff informed on industry trends, policy and process initiatives.
- May provide support and assign resources to new business opportunities as needed.
- Accountable for team adherence to division retention goals and meeting of client service level agreements.
- Promote account rounding and cross-sell opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise for complex client issues and questions. Help team members resolve issues with insurance carriers.
- Ensure client invoicing is handled in accordance with best practices.
- Generate and monitor necessary reports to ensure on-time, appropriate client renewals and team achievement of service goals. Perform periodic quality audits, when necessary.
- Oversee team member workload and appropriate staffing levels.
- Develop effective interdepartmental communication strategies to foster team behavior and sales-oriented culture.
- Ensure staff maintains high degree of accuracy in agency management systems.
- If also directly managing clients, provide proactive, personalized support to assigned accounts, including marketing and placement of renewals and negotiating on behalf of clients.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 10 years + experience in a Commercial Lines agency.
- College degree preferred.
- Prior managerial experience required. Strong team leadership abilities.
- Expert understanding of Property & Casualty insurance.
- Must hold or be willing to earn Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Strong knowledge of agency management systems and Commercial Lines operations required. Experience with Sagitta/ImageRight preferred.
- Keep informed about industry information, technology and trends.
