As Webmaster, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a  broad spectrum of websites and interactive marketing initiatives that support USI Affinity’s overall online presence including the design and execution of  website from site mockups to finished front-end code (HTML/CSS), participating in collaborative design, working with our IT developers, creating visually appealing and user interface centric conceptual designs and staying current of new web design technologies. This position will maintain, and assist in conceptualizing, designing/implementing web pages, advertisements, marketing material and other electronic based products.   Location is in our brand-new Newtown Square, PA office.


Website Building/Maintenance   

·         Create and implement tactics to attract a higher volume of targeted visitors to USI AFFINITY web sites. These may include:

o    Optimize site pages for targeted keywords to achieve higher natural search listings. (Search Engine Marketing)

o    Build targeted Keyword Lists based on popularity and competition factors

·         Place quality inbound links to USI AFFINITY sites through client sites, directories, industry sites, blogs, etc.

·         Develop and execute outbound email campaigns

·         Create and implement tactics to improve online sales/conversions. These may include:

o    Analyze web site traffic and behavior

o    Prepare the site to ensure customers and potential customers meet their goals for visiting the USI AFFINITY websites by creating marketing personas for the sites and mapping those personas to persuasion scenarios.

o    Make recommendations and execute A/B testing for additional page content or functionality

o    Test various landing pages for maximum impact

o    Place banner ads and creating auto-response emails for cross-selling

Web Marketing

·         Coordinate between departments, outside vendors and insurance carriers to ensure that internet marketing projects, web site features, etc. incorporate needs of all relevant functional areas.

·         Investigate and maintain accurate and legally compliant product information and materials presented online.

·         Contribute to direct marketing campaign planning by identifying relevant uses of the Internet, either as a standalone channel or integrated with other direct marketing channels.

·         Design intuitive, user-friendly paths enabling visitors to navigate through a particular web site.

·         Create and design artistic themes for interface, such as icons, guides and toolbars.

·         Contribute to development of marketing plans and project proposals or plans to define appropriate internet components.

·         Prepare status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required.

·         Collect, analyze and reports on Web site traffic and visitor behavior.

·         Create and implement tactics to improve customer experience, online sales and/or conversions

·         Develop and maintain web sites to support internal and/or administrative processes.

·         Create and modify web sites using various markup, programming and/or scripting languages. Uses existing software applications and content management systems (CMS) to develop the interface design and architecture of web sites and other internet-related marketing initiative.

·         Create prototypes and functional specifications for internet marketing projects.

·         Maintain technical and project documentation.

·         Develop and implement quality assurance plans.

·         Migrate current websites from Vertex to the EPiServer platform (CMS) per the established priority list. Once the website has been migrated, maintain the websites, making changes where appropriate.

The Right Candidate Will Have:

·         Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Website/Graphic Design, or Digital Marketing . 

·          Experience building and optimizing websites and providing continuous website support

·         Strong experience with online and offline direct marketing, customer acquisition and retention, proven ability to analyze markets and customer needs; and develop marketing plans/product recommendations based on these needs.

·          Knowledge or experience in insurance products (ideally consumer products) is preferable (for example: life, health, travel, auto/home, personal liability).

·         Proficient understanding of web site functionality and email marketing best practices are required. 

·         Experience and success with SEM, SEO and leveraging Social Media for lead generation is preferred. 

·         Must have strong writing skills to create content. 

·         Results orientation with a track record of successfully building strategic marketing plans to define and drive new businesses is needed.

Technical Experience:

·         Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is required.

·         Experience with Google Analytics required.

·         Must understand Responsive Design, semantic markup and CSS standards, cross-browser compatibility, plus ability to use browser debugging tools is required.

·         Experience using a content management system is required (Vertex, TypePad, EPiServer preferred).

·         Experience constructing HTML emails in various platforms is preferred.

·         Experience with Javascript and jQuery, and/or XML is preferred.

·         Experience with usability testing methods and accessibility principles is preferred
