Conduct processing, reporting and account reconciliation of assigned travel insurance products (Trip Cancellation or Global Medical Products).  Gain detailed knowledge of all products offered and present insight for improvements to processes, group product integration and individual travel policies.

In this Administrative Specialist role, you will:

  •  Provide timely and accurate data entry, correspondence, internal and external relationship management, organizational alignment and effective execution.
  • Process all insurance requests, date changes and cancellations for all accounts within the identified customer service levels. 
  • Provide status updates to carriers including notification and approvals of policy changes.
  • Communicate directly with carrier partners and internal departments needed to resolve issues or policy discrepancies.
  • Maintain current and accurate Operations Files for all accounts, including Accounts Receivable files.
  • Complete status reports for all work completed and additional reports as needed
    Identify and resolve issues related to systems, website, IT-related, accounting, or carrier errors. 
  •        Provide accurate reconciliation reports for several carrier accounts and multiple producers on a monthly/quarterly basis, or as requested by an account.
  • Balance cash receipts weekly with the accounting department and at month end close process. 
  • Work collaboratively with others as backup to the Administrative functions for the Group and Individual Travel products.
  • Remain current with all product information and related compliance and legal regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. Continued education in business and/or accounting helpful.   Prior experience servicing and reconciling accounts is required. 
  • MS Word; Excel; Access; and Outlook.  
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. 
  • Good analytical abilities and numerical aptitude. 
  • Effective communication/comprehensive skills – verbal and written. 
  • Ability to function independently and multi-task. 
  • Strong aptitude for use of technology.
