IT Systems Analyst

Apply nowGeneral Description: Responsible for supporting new system initiative efforts. Define systems capabilities (custom or purchased) to enable the business to grow. Performs project management activities for the approved systems initiative efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Act as liaison between business users and the IT team
• Research problems and plan solutions Recommend software and system changes
• Interact with customers to learn and product business requirements
• Transform user requests into business requirements and technical specifications
• Define “as is” and “to be” workflows and review with line of business leaders
• Define the scope of the project in collaboration with line of business leaders
• Develop business cases for systems enhancements
• Develop a schedule for project completion that allocates the resources to project activities
• Develop and maintain project plans, issues logs and tasks in a system of record
• Review project plans with those affected by project activities; revise schedule as needed
• Develop test plans and test cases Manage system testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Execute projects according to established project plan
• Interface with vendors to ensure vendor compliance to contractual agreements
• Work with business leaders to implement projects and applications changes
• Coordinate with development teams on solutions to meet business requirements
• Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
• Review the quality of the work completed with the team to ensure that it meets the project standards
• Ensure that projects and systems are delivered to end user satisfaction
• Develop forms and records to document project activities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• 3-5 years IT experience
• 1+ years of Project management and/or 3+ years of System/Business Analyst experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• Must be team orientated and enjoy a hands-on approach to problem solving
• Able to manage multiple and rapidly changing, high visibility priorities and projects
• Experience with accounting or finance projects strongly preferred
• Experience with Insurance a plus
• Familiarity with SQL queries a plus
• Experience with Agile or software development methodology a plus
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include walking, sitting, standing and bending.
Analysis of Physical Demands:
• Constantly (over 66% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as typing, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk.
• Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand and bend.
• Occasionally (1%-33% of time) work performed requires employees walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend.
• Rarely (< than 1 hour per week) work performed requires lifting/carrying items that range from 10-50lbs, pushing/pulling items that range from 10-50lbs, twisting/ turning including reaching over shoulder or above head, kneeling or squatting.
