Description and Requirements

General Description: Responsible for handling auto, property, and general liability claims. 

Responsibilities: 

 * Inspect losses for adjustment parameters.
 * Review claims and meet with clients.
 * Attend depositions, mediations, and trials as needed. 
 * Retain and monitor activity of outside adjusters/appraisers and other experts.
 * Communicate with management and underwriting team on larger, more complex claims. 
 * Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate resolution of complex claims. Work in accordance with company guidelines and best claims practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 * 10+ years of general liability insurance claim experience, specialty claims insurance adjustor experience, or a combination of both. 
 * High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required. College degree preferred. 
 * Requires claims adjusting license in all operating states.
 * Extensive knowledge and understanding of working with specialty and general liability claims. 
 * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
 * Ability to analyze complex problems involving varying viewpoints and to develop viable solutions. 
 * Strong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
 * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
 * Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills. 
 * Ability to handle larger and more complex claims.
