Description and Requirements
General Description: The Regional Practice Leader is responsible for driving continuous revenue growth for their specific region. The Regional Practice Leader will be a key part of the Operations Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the Regional CEO with a dotted line reporting relationship to the National Property and Casualty Practice Leader in executing tactical P&C strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of all local PC Practice Leaders and the Regional Technical Resources Leader.
- Drive regional new business, retention and Producer success.
- Responsible for recruiting and hiring new producers through local P&C Practice Leadership and being actively engaged with driving their success working closely with the Regional CEO.
- Conduct monthly 1-1 meetings with sales leaders to review activity, pipeline, results and process execution.
- Develop action plans to address the most urgent opportunities and challenges for the P&C Practice Leaders.
- Lead monthly regional new business and retention efforts to drive new ideas and specific actions to close opportunities.
- Coordinate and engage National and Regional resources when needed.
- Participate in USI University as a coach and facilitator.
- Assist with the development of new OMNI solutions.
- Execute and lead the USI Core processes of Get, Prep, Close and Keep.
- Accountable for line of sight new and lost business forecasting for the current quarter.
- Strategize with Operations Manager to retain a minimum of 92% of business year over year.
- Responsible for the ownership of pipeline management and at-risk accounts driving producer behavior utilizing the USI Omni and Risk Assessments.
- Train all new producers on the USI ONE Advantage and messaging issues/USI Solutions the financial impact and sample case studies specific to each prospect using such tools as the OMNI and the 4x4 ales execution.
- Participate in and execute effective Engagement Platform along with local PC Practice Leader sessions on a weekly basis for both new and established producers.
- Create positive synergy within practice to encourage two way cross-selling.
- Drive consistent and predictable long term profitable new client relationships.
- Assist in developing sales and marketing strategies along with communications to optimize USI’s position in the marketplace.
- Positively and proactively represent USI in meetings, seminars, trade shows and networking events following USI National Strategy and graphic standards.
- Work collaboratively to maximize results in all markets.
- Develop positive carrier relationships with oversight of override and contingent programs.
Key Performance Metrics:
- 4% SNN
- 15% new business and <10% lost business
- Leading to Organic Revenue and OpInc Growth
- Execution of best practices (Huddles, Sales Activation, Hiring)
Regional Practice Leader Metrics:
• Expense Ratio of 2.5%
• Full Time Manager can cover 10+ producers and $10mm+ revenue
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical understanding of the Property and Casualty and risk management business.
- 15+ years in the insurance industry including extensive experience operating in the insurance brokerage business.
- Demonstrated sales leadership ability and experience with ability to build trust and work in a collaborative environment.
- A deep understanding of the entire sales and client service process.
- Proven track record for meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- A consultative, positive and resourceful approach to dealing with prospect, clients and associates
- Strong visibility within the Property and Casualty community.
- Highly developed organization and time management skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Strong degree of self motivation
- Goal orientated
