The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for research and candidate development for strategic leadership roles in Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits on a national basis. The Sourcing Specialist will partner with the Leadership Recruiters and play a critical role in knowledge share and transfer.

Responsibilities:

The Sourcing Specialist will focus on three primary areas of responsibility including strategic Research, Sourcing Tools, and Projects.

  • The Sourcing Specialist will identify talent for Leadership roles in Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits lines of business
  • Provide research & candidate development support for Leadership Recruiters as needed to decrease time to fill for open positions
  • Conduct local market research – using links to websites and local directories; moves, mergers, layoffs – and share information as relevant to open positions and for talent pipeline
  • Competitor mapping
  • Manage researched prospect data on requisitions; candidate information and relevant notes in recruitment CRM (Avature)
  • Extra pair of hands on aging searches / “floater” on Leadership Recruiting team if capacity changes
  • Involved with the tracking of key metrics
  • Identify new sourcing techniques (search strings, Chrome extensions, databases, LinkedIn techniques)
  • Social media strategies
  • Build talent communities
  • Project work will involve but is not limited to: Recruitment Best Practices (organization and sharing); Reporting (search activity & analytics), Training (coordinating vendor training, tools & resources); and Managing Resources (ongoing responsibility for building & maintaining Leadership Recruiting Shared Drive).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Superior Research and Sourcing skills Self-starter with a superior work ethic and a defined sense of urgency is a must
  • An understanding and appreciation of broader Human Resources practices and success in navigating a highly matrixed organization is necessary
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and situation with discretion
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities independently

4-year degree preferred, but not required
