General Description:  
The Sr. Systems Analyst will support new system initiative efforts, and work with the business to define systems capabilities (custom or purchased) to enable the business to grow.    The Sr Systems Analyst performs project management activities for the approved systems initiative efforts.   

Responsibilities:
Research problems, plan solutions, recommend software and system changes, and coordinate development to meet business requirements
Act as liaison between business users and the IT team
Develop business cases and financial models for systems enhancements and net new systems.
Interact with customers and transform user requests into business requirements and technical specifications
Develop test plans and test cases
Manage system testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Define “as is” and “to be” workflows and review with line of business leaders
Performs comparative analysis of internal duplicative systems and provides recommendations for portfolio rationalization to Sr Management
Subject matter expert (SME) in insurance and/or sales workflows and applications 
Work with business leaders and IT to implement projects and systems changes
Manage system conversion activities including data mapping, data analysis, system configuration
Perform evaluation of system alternatives and present findings to Sr. Management for new system functionality
Define and maintain systems analysis standards, deliverables, and processes
Develop and maintain project plans, issues logs and tasks in a system of record
Review project progress periodically with project team including Sr Management
Manage accountability of tasks for project members
Write periodic project status reports for management
Interface directly with vendors to ensure vendor compliance to contractual agreements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
4 year degree or equivalent
5-7 years IT and/or systems experience
Project management experience
Familiarity with SQL a plus
Experience with insurance or sales applications and workflows a plus
Team orientation and hands-on approach
Experience with Agile or software development methodology a plus
Must be able to manage multiple and rapidly changing, high visibility priorities and projects

Role Specific Responsibilities: 
Familiarity with Insurity ConceptOne
o Design and configure new programs and procedures within ConceptOne 
o Create and maintain configuration design and system documentation
o Support rating integration using ConceptOne’s various rating methods
o Implement forms, correspondence, and other documents
o Provides advice and training to application support team
o Develop and maintain reporting 
o Develop SQL queries to support workflow processes and other configuration items
o Create test plans to verify logic of new or modified processes, reports, screens etc.
o Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications –through written documentation – to management, peers, staff, and end users
o Provide operational support to business
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins.  Employees operate office equipment including; telephone - headset, Computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner and mail machine.  Physical tasks of job include; walking, sitting, standing and bending.

Analysis of Physical Demands:
Constantly (over 66% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as typing, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk.
Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand and bend. 
Occasionally (1%-33% of time) work performed requires employees walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend.
Rarely  (< than 1 hour per week) work performed  requires Lifting/Carrying  items that range from 10-50lbs, pushing/pulling  items that range from 10-50lbs,  twisting/ turning including reaching over shoulder or above head , kneeling or squatting.

Occasional travel may be required < 10%
