Description and Requirements

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and strategic Senior Manager of Employer Brand Communications to join our growing team! This new role will report to the VP of Corporate Communications, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the VP of Talent Acquisition. This individual will play a pivotal role in elevating our employer brand and attracting top talent to USI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employer branding strategies, excellent communication and storytelling skills, and a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Implement comprehensive employer branding strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent. 
  • Develop and regularly refine USI’s employer value proposition (EVP) and related messaging.  
  • Collaborate with corporate HR, communications, marketing, and leadership teams to align employer branding initiatives with company goals. 
  • Create compelling content related to company culture and benefits. Develop multi-channel distribution strategies to improve candidate engagement. Includes social media, career websites, and recruitment communications.  
  • Regularly review and enhance USI’s external careers page and related content.  
  • Oversee a monthly recruitment content calendar and develop communication assets for recruiters to use in their outreach to prospective candidates. 
  • Manage USI’s online presence across various job boards and employer branding sites (e.g., Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn). 
  • Conduct regular external research and competitor examination to stay updated on industry trends and best practices. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of employer branding campaigns and adjust strategies as needed. 
  • Manage submissions for USI’s corporate industry awards and recognition programs.    
  • Participate in recruitment events and networking opportunities. 
  • Identify opportunities for USI to sponsor or participate in industry-focused recruitment events, professional associations, and networking opportunities. 
  • Evaluate and coordinate leadership speaking opportunities at industry events and conferences as needed.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 5+ years of experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, or related roles. 
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, human resources, or a related field. 
  • Exceptional understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies. 
  • Experience with data analysis and metrics to measure campaign success. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative communication campaigns and branding initiatives. 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
