General Description: The Senior Environmental Solutions Practice Leader role reports to the National Environmental Solutions Practice Leader. This position requires the Practice Leader to work with the National Environmental Solutions Practice Leader on developing best practices for servicing and winning business and to handle a book of some of the most complex accounts.  

Responsibilities:
Responsible for growing and retaining a book of complex environmental accounts across the platform. 
Responsible for working with the National Practice Leader on the USI Segmentation plan, helping with the implementation of the plan, working with the various Technical Resource Leaders and Vertical Leaders and providing oversight of our partner Synapse (or any substitute) for business less than $75k.
Assist with developing strategy and growth plans and lead the plans of the group through active participation in the marketing and sales process.
Accountable for managing large existing complex accounts. 
Maintain an active and visible role with key customers, prospects and insurance companies to develop and maintain the capability to meet customer needs.
Develop sales and marketing materials and knowledge resources (OMNI)
Responsible for driving consistent and predictable long term profitable new client relationships.
Develop sales and marketing strategies along with communications to optimize USI’s position in the marketplace.
Positively and proactively represent USI in meetings, seminars, trade shows and networking events following USI National Strategy and graphic standards.
Work collaboratively to maximize results in all markets.
Other projects or duties, as needed. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
15+ years experience in Environmental Insurance or a combination of Environmental Consulting or Legal.
Some management experience a plus
Good understanding of various environmental law & regulations in the US 
Strong competency in understanding various environmental reports such as Phase I, Phase II and implications to clients
Strong competency in understanding various transactional documents and understanding allocations of environmental risks to articulate to clients and to the insurers
Great market relationships
Creativity in problem solving and new solutions
College degree preferred, but not required.
Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license.
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred, but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.
