General Description: Responsible for the retention of temporarily assigned client accounts. Responsible for managing client service needs. Activities include new and renewal marketing, fielding questions and requests and coverage review.

Responsibilities:

  • Service a high volume of accounts utilizing carrier websites and online rating systems.
  • Provide insurance technical expertise to clients.
  • Manage client renewal expirations and avoid any lapse in coverage.
  • Submit to eligible and appropriate carriers and follow-up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies.
  • Respond to underwriter’s questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Processes client policies, endorsements, audits, cancelations, and reinstatements.
  • Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance, as needed.
  • Meet select client service level agreements (SLA’s) based on client revenue tier.
  • Refer clients to carriers for direct reporting of claims. Submit first reports of claims when needed.
  • Transition temporarily assigned clients to permanent account manager when deemed appropriate.
  • Meet with team to discuss performance, key initiatives and specific client service needs.
  • Work within the USI Small Business initiatives included, but not limited to, placing business in and utilizing carrier service centers, consolidation of accounts with carriers/wholesalers, utilize direct bill and download where ever possible.
  • Execution of AMS data integrity and account management Best Practice file audits in assigned regions, as time allows.
  • Other projects or duties, as needed.
   

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2-5 years experience in Commercial Lines Agency. College degree preferred, but not required.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license or willing to obtain one within an agreed upon timeframe.
  • Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred, but not required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
  • Keep informed about industry information, technology and trends.
