Apply nowGeneral Descriptions: Establishes and maintains relationships with network of carriers and other partners to ensure Company’s service and revenue goals are met.
· Responsible for full-cycle management and development of team.
· Oversee team member workload and appropriate staffing levels.
· Lead the development of reinsurance/quota share programs.
· Develop pricing models for primary and excess reinsurance.
· Manage the placement and purchasing of reinsurance for bespoke program capacity.
· Senior subject matter expert in alternative risk vehicles and applicable programs.
· Provide management oversight for specific programs. Responsible for profit and loss.
· Recommend the authority levels for underwriting staff, amendments, and enhancements to applicable program.
· Underwrite complex assignments. Determine appropriate price and develop rate tables, terms and conditions.
· Market company products and services through defined distribution sources.
· Develop and maintain applicable agency, broker and direct account relationships.
· Work with internal partners to execute program strategy. Ensure underwriting profitability and compliance in line with carrier and regulatory standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related study required. Master’s degree preferred.
· 10+ years experience managing carrier relationships, reinsurance brokers and underwriting.
· 2+ years of management experience.
· CPCU designation is a plus.
· Experience building out insurance programs that involve reinsurance, captives and alternative risk transfers.
· Proficient in MS Office suite of products.
· Experience developing and implementing sales and service goals.
· Ability to develop and lead implementation of strategic business initiatives.
· Ability to provide market intelligence, consultation, and client-specific assistance to producers.
