General Description

USI is searching for a Regional Sales & Marketing Leader (Bloomington or Denver office).  The Regional Sales Leader provides sales activation leadership and direction to the region’s new and established producers. A strong executive presence and ability to present effectively to both newly hired sales producers and most senior levels of the organization is critical. As a key member of the regional team, this role will be based in each region, reporting to the Regional CEO with dotted line report structure to the Corporate Chief Sales Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all regional marketing and communications leadership and processes including communications, presentations, sponsorships, advertising and branding.  Marketing leadership will result in higher visibility and quality market positioning to support new business, client retention and revenue growth.
  • Responsible for regular participation as coach/professor/facilitator/curriculum contributor in the National USI ONE Academy (“GET”) programs for both new and established producers as requested by the CSO. This will include local ongoing reinforcement in each regional office which will help both the Region and the overall Company achieves its new producer success and improves the growth of established underperforming producers.
  • 10+ years of related experience or training in insurance brokerage, carrier, or related business.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead.
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Goal oriented.

·        Work with RCEO and the PC and EB Leaders to Ensure Effective Execution of the Core USI Processes and Engagement Strategies in each office.

·        Work with Corporate CSO, Corporate Vertical Leaders and national EB and PC leader to ensure communication and clear messaging of all product and solution launches.

·        Participate as a member of the national team acting as developer of curriculum and as “Professor” and coach in USI ONE Academy and other programs.

·        Participate in screening/hiring/on boarding new producers to ensure success.

·        Partner with RCEO, PC and EB leader to ensure quality tracking and measurement of sales activity and provide coaching to producers as appropriate to ensure 1st apt activity and a quality pipeline.

·        Assist with Acquisition Integration with respect to sales activation, messaging, U Engage Training (in coordination with the Sales and Marketing Specialist), sales and marketing.

·        Drive utilization and keep current all prospecting and relationship building opportunities within the company’s sales force automation system (U Engage).

·        Establish and execute marketing and communication strategy marketing campaigns, sponsorship selection, charitable contributions, advertising, dues and memberships and events.

·        Oversee Sales and Marketing, Sales Engagement Specialist and RFP teams for region.

·        Develop Marketing budget and uphold procedures for determining marketing investments.

·        Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, regionally and nationally.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 10+ years of related experience or training in insurance brokerage, carrier, or related business.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead.
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
