General Description:    The Retirement Services Associate is responsible for conversion and deconversions of client plans, reporting and maintenance of the Retirement Planning Services system.

Responsibilities:

Assist Consultant & Conversion Specialists with the following:

·        Project Management of all new and departing client plans

o   Coordinate transfers with prior/successor service providers

o   SRT System Setup (actual and review)

    • Coordinate moving plans between custodial platforms
    • Create trades for conversion assets (including wire tracking)
    • Processing of conversion Files (creation/manipulation)
    • Data Loading onto SRT recordkeeping system (actual + review)

o   Participant Communications (notices & web text)

o   Train client contacts on payroll contribution upload procedures

·        Maintain and Oversee Systems which includes but is not limited to:

o   Providing technical application support to internal team members as needed.

o   Participant website setup & updates

o   Creating forms and manuals for clients

o   Maintain internal and client credentials for all Schwab systems

o   Assisting with our quarterly and annual statement mailings

o   Work with Internal Partners and Vendors to ensure accurate and timely response to all needs

o   Work with all partners in a manner that fosters mutual respect and teamwork.

Individual should also actively participate in personal and professional development opportunities including but not limited to obtaining and maintaining industry designations (i.e. QKA, QPA etc.).  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • College degree preferred
  • Experience with Schwab Retirement Technologies (SRT) and understanding of defined contribution retirement plan operations a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Crystal Reports a plus but not required
  • This is a client facing role that will require excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate a “whatever it takes” attitude to ensure client satisfaction to support key initiatives.
  • High level of computer literacy including strong working knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, strong attention to detail and ability to self-check work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creative and innovative. Self-motivated team player.
  • Time management
