General Description

The Regional Practice Leader is responsible for driving continuous profitable revenue growth for the P&C operation in the Mountain region.  This role will report to the Regional CEO, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the National Property & Casualty Practice Leader, and accountability to the National leader on both strategic and tactical execution.


The Regional Property & Casualty Practice Leader will have primary responsibility for:

  • Driving Regional New Business, Retention, and Producer Success.
  • Recruiting and hiring new producers, and being actively engaged with driving their success.
  • Coordination and engagement of National and Regional Resources when needed.
  • Leading monthly regional New Business and Retention calls to drive new ideas and specific actions to close opportunities.
  • The efficacy of our new business, retention and reporting tools (e.g. CRM) and reports.
  • Conduct monthly 1-1 meetings with sales leaders to review activity, pipeline, and results. Develop action plans to address most urgent opportunities and challenges for the sales leader.
  • Direct reports include all local PC Practice Leaders, the Director of Technical Resources, and home office leadership.
  • The Regional Practice Leader would not be directly responsible for operations or account management, yet will still have a close dotted line relationship particularly when working on new business and key account retention.
  • Participate in USI University as coach and facilitator, and assist with development of new OMNI solutions.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Our successful candidate will have deep technical knowledge in Property & Casualty, and experience leading a middle market Property & Casualty operation with a demonstrated track record of success, and a passion for coaching, mentoring, developing and inspiring consultative sales leaders and sales professionals.     

  • Strong technical understanding of the Property & Casualty and risk management business.
  •  Fifteen years in the Insurance industry including extensive experience operating in the insurance brokerage business.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience with ability to build trust and work in a collaborative environment.
  • A deep understanding of the entire sales and client service process.
  • Proven track record for meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • A consultative, positive and resourceful approach to interacting with prospects, clients and associates.
  • Strong visibility within the Property & Casualty community.

Domestic travel to USI offices typically within region
