General Description: The Regional Marketing Coordinator is responsible for effectual execution of event coordinating strategies, processes and tactics under the direction of the Regional Sales Leader and the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, in partnership with the technical resources leadership of both the Employee Benefits and Property and Casualty Sales Leaders. Efficacy in key process implementation of U Engage (CRM), training and onboarding of new Producers and supporting the Core USI Processes to result in improved quality and quantity of new business appointments, improved pipeline, new business growth and retention.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist regional marketing and communications leadership and processes including communications, presentations, sponsorships, advertising and branding. Marketing leadership will result in higher visibility and quality market positioning to support new business, client retention and revenue growth.
  • Support “warming activities” for Producers by scheduling and implementing; Seminars, Webinars, Virtual meetings to include: one on one virtual appointments, virtual social engagements and other creative social interactions to drive new business.
  • Manage Regional Events Calendar to include weekly, monthly calendar events like round table discussions, lunch & learns, association member events and other social events hosted by Producers and Practice Leaders, by individual offices or regionally.
  • Cultivate partnerships with Centers of Influences and Carriers for joint event sponsorships.
  • Manage creative ways to drive webinar attendance with effective follow-up.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing or Communications preferred).
  • 3-5+ years of related experience in marketing support at executive level.
  • Effective communicator. Must have the ability to work well with others, empower and motivate SMS peers to provide exceptional support to RCEO, RSL, Practice Leaders and Producers.
  • Possess strong technical skills including but not limited to Microsoft Dynamics U Engage, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, WebEx and Skype.
  • Strong Social Media skills (LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, high-pressure environment, requiring adaptability and effective communication skills.
  • Must possess acute attention to detail and a drive to ensure adherence to policy and procedures.
  • Strong self-discipline to complete projects, while appropriately budgeting time to meet additional deadlines and immediate needs of producers and management.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead.
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Experience in training others is preferable.

·         Work with Corporate CSO, Corporate Vertical Leaders and national EB and PC leaders to provide communication and clear messaging of all product and solution launches.

·         Participate in onboarding process for new producers. This includes serving as a trainer to new producers within the individual’s region on U Engage, general processes and procedures.

·         Drive utilization and keep current all prospecting and relationship building opportunities within the company’s sales force automation system (U Engage).

·         Establish and execute marketing and communication strategy marketing campaigns, effective virtual campaigns, sponsorship selection, charitable contributions, advertising, dues and memberships and events.

·         Work with RCEO, RSL and Practice Leaders to develop, maintain and track procedures for marketing investments such as events, sponsorships, charitable contributions, and memberships. Maintain metrics to track ROI.

·         Serve as a trainer and ongoing resource for SMS’. This may include acting as a float SMS in the individual’s region as the need arises. Must also have the capacity to lead SMS peers in productive communication sessions on pertinent changes and issues, to result in seamless interactions with Practice Leaders and Producers.

·         Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, regional and national.

Physical Demands:

Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner and mail machine.  Physical tasks of job include driving, walking, sitting, standing, bending and typing.

Analysis of Physical Demands:

·         Occasionally (25% of time) work performed requires employees to drive to client appointments or offices, have repetitive foot movements, walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend.

·         Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand and bend.

·         Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as typing, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk.

·         Rarely (< than 1 hour per week) work performed requires Lifting/Carrying items that range from 10-50lbs, pushing/pulling items that range from 10-50lbs, twisting/ turning including reaching over shoulder or above head, kneeling or squatting.
