General Description

This position provides operational and project support to the Midwest region’s Employee Benefits business unit.  This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to Internal Partners that includes proactive and effective communication and organization.

 

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Respond to commission posting questions from the Accounting Center.
  • Assist with small group business segmentation across the region.
  • Act as a data steward for Benefitpoint.  Provide additional onsite training support as needed.
  • Act as an information steward for documents stored in ImageRight.
  • Generate and distribute monthly audit reports to offices within the region. 
  • Provide operational support for onboarding acquisitions.
  • Assist with post acquisition system data clean up as needed.
  • Serve as the regional source for collecting and monitoring client fee agreement and generating periodic consulting fee invoices in Sagitta.
  • Keep current all employee benefits operational folders located on the regional drive.
  • Create, update and distribute monthly operational reports to team leads within the region.
  • Perform basic statistical calculations on data for reports and presentations.
  • Provide follow up on initiatives started by the Regional VP of Operations.
  • Take an active role on the regional committees and assist them with the roll out of new/updated materials.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies across the region.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed.
  • Promote teamwork by sharing experiences, assisting others when help is needed and maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior customer service experience preferred in the employee benefits industry.
  • 4 year college degree preferred.
  • Experience with BenefitPoint and ImageRight is a plus.
  • High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Windows2007, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Sets priorities and manages work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
  • Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts.  Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.

  • Ability to carry out multiple tasks with both concrete and abstract variables. 
  • Must be comfortable with internet based programs as well as knowledge of Microsoft office products.
