General Description: The Regional CFO's main role is to ensure professional and ethical financial practices that are aligned with business strategy utilizing a centralized accounting center model, so as to ensure the functionality and sustained profitability of the assigned Region.


  • Hands on approach to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and utilization of technology to produce these products.
  • Financial statement (Income Statement/Balance Sheet) review and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and USI accounting policy.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the system of internal reporting.
  • Coordinate with corporate FP&A, controller group, accounting center and internal audit.
  • Provide accurate, timely and insightful analysis to local and corporate management.
  • Business partner to regional CEO and Practice Leaders.
  • Integration of acquisitions and due diligence as required.
  • Assess, understand and communicate the business drivers which effect profitability, cost structure and financial performance relative to operational metrics, budget and prior year.
  • Effective management of issues which effect production force such as compensation and contractual issues.
  • Supervise and develop finance staff of one or more financial analyst(s).

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in finance positions of increasing responsibility and minimum of three years supervising direct reports
  • Background in Financial Service; Insurance or Employee Benefit; P&C insurance experience is preferred
  • Hands on abilities with respect to work product and use of technology
  • Exceptional communication skills, effective time manager, sense of urgency and action oriented
  • Ability to assess matters of importance from a GAAP perspective
  • Exceptionally strong management & analytical ability, detail orientated
  • Advanced excel skills required; knowledge of SAP Financial Systems a plus
  • Ability to travel given regional geographic specifics
