General Description: The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for effective execution of sales-related materials and the activities throughout the GPACK process that support those materials.  The implementation and support of quality documentation practices help support new business growth and retention.  The sales support specialist helps support RFP responses, proposal content, stewardship reports, executive summaries, customization of marketing materials, electronic record submissions, client/prospect communication thru the U Engage database, creates targeted creative content and follows the defined processes and tactics under the direction of the Employee Benefits and Property and Casualty Practice Leaders. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support Proposals/RFPs >100K: Sales Support Team member assigned by team leader
    • Develop timeline for client facing deliverables
    • Attend Advance/Keep Huddles as requested by Practice leaders
    • Additional Sales Support actions include;
      • Collaborate with account management team, producers & practice leaders
      • Participate in the strategic planning sessions
      • Create quality documentation on a consistent basis
      • Edit stewardship reports, executive summaries and custom proposal content.
      • Train producers and account managers on the U Answer platform, which provides templates and content that assist with <100K proposals and renewals
      • Create U Answer training materials the can be shared on the local drive

·       GPACK deployment requirements: Advance and Keep Huddle attendance when requested.

o   Attend Advance huddle to support a finalist presentation and any additional USI approved marketing materials.

o   Attend Keep huddle to support stewardship reports, executive summaries, capabilities presentation edits, open enrollment brochure HUB support and any additional USI approved marketing materials.

  • Develop, create, execute and analyze print, tradeshow, social media, and digital creative advertising for Southeast Region production.
    • Responsible for copyright and creative design services that support prospecting campaigns with the goal of driving new business activity.
    • Creative Marketing: Design and development of advertising collateral including: direct mail, email, print advertising (mechanicals), trade show collateral (signage, pamphlets, business cards, swag, etc.), Digital creative (videos, banner ads, and images), social media, and branding elements (logos, imagery, etc.).
    • Ensure consistent language across communication channels including website, print, collateral, email, and social media
    • Provide guidance and training on the USI HUB platform for Employee Benefit Open Enrollment materials
      • Develop set process for deployment of sales support
      • Help develop paperless alternatives for future projects
      • High level clients and prospects will be assigned a Sales Support specialist on a case by case basis to be determined by the Sales Support Team Leader and the Practice Leader.
    • Create and maintain USI brand guidelines including look and feel, tonality, suggested imagery, and core branding elements
    • Identify key growth areas and work closely with agency partners for breakthrough creative ideas
      • Review U Engage reports with Sales Support team members to make creative recommendations and changes to campaigns
      • Support the development of email marketing lists for U Engage prospecting campaigns focused on solution messaging cadence and imagery
    • Maintain task lists of projects/due dates and inform team leaders of changes to delivery in advance of delays
    • Attend monthly Sales Support meetings and program calls with practice leaders to drive creative opportunities and enhancements
    • Communicate with team members, producers and leaders to drive partnership and collaboration
    • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Preferred experience using Creative Cloud, Adobe Suite, QueVidion, Brainshark, Screen casting, survey monkey and other applications that are used industry wide.

o   Support and encourage increased usage of electronic documentation transfers

o   Help establish and execute strategic digital marketing campaigns using U Engage ClickDimensions for prospecting, lunch and learns and any other form of branding that a practice leader requests.

§  Provide data reports on the marketing campaign results via Click Dimensions

o   Minimal travel required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Self-starter and team player, able to accept direction, yet work independently

Physical Demands:

Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins.  Employees operate office equipment including; telephone - headset, Computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner and mail machine.  Physical tasks of job include; driving, walking, sitting, standing, bending and fingering.

Analysis of Physical Demands:

·       Constantly (over 0% of time) work performed requires employees to drive to client appointments or offices, have repetitive foot movements, walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend.

·       Frequently (10% of time) work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand and bend.

·       Frequently (90% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as fingering, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk.

·       Rarely  (< than 1 hour per week) work performed  requires Lifting/Carrying  items that range from 10-50lbs, pushing/pulling  items that range from 10-50lbs,  twisting/ turning including reaching over shoulder or above head , kneeling or squatting.
