General Description: Analyze prescription drug information and deliver financial solutions for employee benefits clients with self-funded medical plans. 


  • Work with internal account management team. Deliver pharmacy solutions that align with client’s strategic goals.
  • Assist in client’s Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) RFP process. Market services to carriers. 
  • Educate team members and clients about prescription drug benefits.
  • Perform technical analysis of pharmacy contracts and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Prepare comparisons of various PBM contracts. 
  • Act as subject matter expert on pharmacy solutions. 
  • Assist consultants in negotiating market results with carriers and PBM's.
  • Develop and deliver actionable dashboards and reports to support USI Pharmacy solutions. 
  • Keep current with industry, new products, legislation, and technology.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5 years + experience with data manipulation, analysis, and presentation. Knowledge of specialty pharmacy and/or PBM processes preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.  
  • Must hold or willing to obtain state Life & Disability insurance license.  
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.  
  • Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word. 

Physical Demands:  

Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include driving, walking, sitting, standing, bending, and typing.

Analysis of Physical Demands:

Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as typing, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk.

Occasionally (over 30% of time) work performed requires employees to drive to client appointments, have repetitive foot movements, walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend. Work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand, and bend. 

Rarely (< than 1 hour per week) work performed requires lifting/carrying items that range from 10-50lbs, pushing/pulling items that range from 10-50lbs, twisting/turning including reaching over shoulder or above head, kneeling or squatting.
