General Description: The People & Culture Benefits Rep leads USI in executing on employee programs, including wellness, volunteerism, reward and recognition events, and USI’s unique employee offerings. Providers support to the USI Benefits Service Center.

·         Lead USI’s Wellness program initiatives by managing relationships with all wellness vendors, responding to participant wellness-related inquiries and handling wellness status reporting. Developing employee wellness communications across multiple platforms.

·         Champion USI Gives Back, USI’s corporate social responsibility volunteerism program. Provide program support to offices nationwide; plan and execute on volunteerism event for Valhalla office.

·         Support USI’s Summit program, a reward and recognition program for internal- and external-client service staff. Assist in national program administration and design; plan and execute USI Summit celebratory event for Valhalla staff members.

·         Develop Take Our Kids to Work Day event programming for USI nationwide, and plan and execute onsite event for Valhalla office families.

·         Support USI’s unique employee programs, including USI Cares, our program to support associates in need for financial assistance, and USI Educates, our scholarship program for employees’ children, and USI Discounts.

·         Chair USI’s Social Committee for the Valhalla office.

·         Support USI’s Benefits Service Center; provide daily ongoing support to internal client groups on all benefits programs by answering questions – proactively and reactively – for employees and HR community on all USI benefits. Research complex benefit questions with carrier partners where necessary and follow issues through to conclusion. Maintain regular, pro-active communication with employee clients. Participate in USI’s annual benefits open enrollment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         BA/BS Degree; Business Admin or Human Resources preferred

·         Two to three years Human Resources experience required; employee wellness, event planning and/or benefits experience preferred.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

·         Excellent client service skills and respect for confidential participant information

·         Experience/understanding and appreciation of broader Human Resources issues

·         Ability to work independently, yet communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy. Thrive in a team environment.
