General Description:

The CG OS Pension Administrator I assists Defined Benefit -- Outsourcing clients in administering their pension plans, including both employee- and employer-facing responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • For assigned small market clients, answer all participant phone calls and monitor Service Center mailboxes for participant inquiries.
  • As appropriate, answer questions, refer complex questions, as necessary.
  • Document all calls including nature and date of resolution in database.
  • Assist with administrative updates e.g. Suspension of Benefits, TVs approaching normal retirement
  • Assist in daily administration e.g. sending out address & direct deposit change forms, pension verification letters, retiree setups, updates and monthly retiree payroll changes.
  • Generate calculation of benefits, including terminated vested, retired, estimates for actives, and lump sums, as necessary.
  • Prepare and distribute complete communication packages, including election forms, worksheets, waivers, withholding forms, EFT elections, etc.
  • Assist with SSN searches as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining Access database of all incoming mail.
  • Assess incoming work and assist with creating associated tasks on a daily basis.
  • Assist with running daily work logs and distribute to team.
  • Assist with coordination of large mailings and supporting the USICG Admin Team
  • Support document imaging.
  • Foster a friendly and efficient working environment through a team-oriented attitude.
  • Serve as back-up to other clients to cover vacation, sickness, extended hours, etc.
  • Comply with departmental and each client's performance standards.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards.
  • Assist with data management.
  • Assist on projects, as needed.
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Associate degree, or equivalent job related experience.
  • 1-3 years of pension administration or comparable experience.
  • Strong in the use of MS Products e.g. Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage several concurrent projects; meet deadlines and performance standards.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to think quickly to assess participant inquiries.
  • Math aptitude a plus.
  • Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without requiring Visa sponsorship.
