The Pension Administration Processing Analyst provides support for Pension Administration customers by completing administrative tasks including processing benefit estimates and distributions requests, input and review of participant data, and handling and processing of participant mailings. The individual works closely with members of the Pension Administration and Service Center teams, as well as providing additional support for the Actuarial Services team. This individual must be able to work independently, follow established policies and procedures, and communicate effectively with associates, both within the Pension Administration team as well as with other business units.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Benefit Estimate and Distribution Requests for Pension Administration clients including:
- Mailing and uploading of documents to the participants’ records in the online portal,
- Updating Excel calculation logs,
- Updating participant data in data management system
- Setting up benefit payments.
- Weekly review and correction of participant data updates for assigned clients.
- Assist with recurring Participant Mailings.
- Assist with the monitoring of recurring tasks including automatic payments/automatic IRA setups.
- Assist with the due diligence process for locating missing participants and annual death audit.
- Assist with the setup of new clients.
- Assist with returned mail including scanning, updating participant record.
- Ability to follow standard processes and naming conventions.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and handle rush projects.
- Participates effectively on projects as measured through feedback from others.
- Communicates with other business units as needed.
- Establishes respectful working relationships with coworkers to achieve optimal business results.
- Takes ownership of assigned workload. Strives to provide a professional looking finished product.
- Takes initiative in making suggestions that would clarify correspondence and streamline production processes.
- Provides coverage for other team members.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Associate degree, or equivalent job related experience.
- 1-3 years of pension administration or comparable experience.
- Strong in the use of MS Products e.g. Word, Excel, and Access.
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage several concurrent projects; meet deadlines and performance standards.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to think quickly to assess participant inquiries.
- Math aptitude a plus.
