Description and Requirements
The Role:
As the PG Retention Leader, you will drive strategic initiatives to retain existing customers, clients, and brokers across all division programs. You will collaborate closely with program leaders, underwriters, and operations teams to market to new prospective brokers, delivering insightful marketing and sales analytics to support business growth and retention.
What You'll Do:
- Lead renewal strategies across all programs to achieve financial renewal targets.
- Produce, track, analyze, and monitor retention metrics through reports, scorecards, and KPIs to identify trends.
- Analyze retention data to understand reasons for client/broker attrition and create targeted strategies to improve retention.
- Deliver training and implement process improvements for programs and operations staff, ensuring alignment with best practices in client retention and relationship management.
- Leverage systems and data analytics to proactively identify at-risk clients/brokers and tailor retention efforts.
- Develop and execute continuous retention improvement initiatives to identify and predict client/broker preferences and service improvements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on renewal solicitation processes and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with practice standards.
- Partner with program and national marketing leaders to provide insights and retention expertise for marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Act in accordance with client goals, standards of service, and internal best practices.
- Conduct in-person visits with clients and brokers as needed.
- Serve as the retention technical expert on market trends and industry retention best practices.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
- Stay current with industry trends, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology.
What We're Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience in a commercial property & casualty insurance agency, with a comprehensive understanding of all property & casualty insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior managerial experience preferred, with the ability to manage others effectively.
- Must hold a Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Industry designations such as ARM, CIC, and CPCU are preferred.
- Ability to carry out complex tasks with both concrete and abstract variables.
- Proficiency with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight is preferred but not required.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
