General Description: Technical insurance specialist. Responsible for creating and analyzing statistical and geographical data. Produce recommendations to assist in the underwriting process, account placement, and/or servicing. 

Responsibilities: 
Deliver quantitative modeling solutions, according to departmental operational guidelines.
Collaborate with Program stakeholders to accomplish strategic goals, objectives, and initiatives. 
May use commercial catastrophe modeling software to measure physical and economic loss from catastrophes.
Provide analytical reports to Program Managers and Underwriters to negotiate on behalf of carriers for new and renewal accounts. Includes coverage terms, conditions, and pricing. 
Prepare data reports and exhibits to Program stakeholder. Support financial impact of underwriting decisions. 
Create and maintain databases in agency systems. May build and manage databases for the purpose of managing client data and reporting.
May develop rating and quoting algorithms.
May participate in client presentations with Program teams. 
Keep informed about industry information, technology, and trends.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
2 years + of technical/analytical experience with commercial lines property or commercial lines casualty preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proficient in Access database management, VBA programing, and SQL.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. 
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel.
Effective management, relationship building, planning, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.  
Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
Ability to travel 10% of the time.
