General Descriptions:

Responsible for account management of complex commercial property and casualty accounts which includes new and renewal marketing, handling client questions and requests, and coverage review in support of Program Managers.      

Responsibilities:

·        Works at a strategic level to develop and retain consultative, partnership relationships with customers/prospects. 

·        Develops, executes and monitors comprehensive customer service plans that reflect the customer's business and risk management goals. 

·        Responsible for marketing including advising customers regarding renewals and recommending coverage products/risk control approaches (Stewardship reports). 

·        Contributes to the new business development, identifies cross-sell opportunities and may seek referrals from existing customers. 

·        Manage or direct client accounts/relationships to ensure retention and growth of book of business.

·        Provide technical support to Program Managers, specifically in analyzing client needs, coverage forms and quotations.

·        Provide technical expertise in coordinating the servicing of new and existing clients through sales, account development, and problem solving.

·        Respond to client requests for information, documents, and general insurance inquiries. 

·        Respond to Underwriters questions in a timely and professional manner.

·        Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.

·        Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages.

·        May provide leadership and guidance to less experienced staff.

·        Perform other job duties as assigned and participate in special projects as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·        7+ years of insurance experience 

·        High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required

·        Experience managing complex commercial property and casualty accounts 

·        Experience developing and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and prospects

·        Experience effectively marketing to carriers and customers 

·        Proficient in MS Office suite of products

·        Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 

·        Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions 

·        Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 

·        Solid problem-solving skills 

·        Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important 

  • Must hold or will obtain Property & Casualty and a Life and Health insurance license.
