National Select Operations Trainer

Apply nowGeneral Description: Responsible for the development and delivery of Select Commercial insurance education. Includes the Select Commercial Lines team and new business marketing team. Drive national Select training operational priorities, best practices, process improvements, and acquisition integration.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Operations and New Business Marketing teams to design curriculum to support growth, retention, and efficiency objectives.
- Develop and facilitate annual training calendar for Select Commercial Lines employees. Includes regularly scheduled virtual learning sessions covering a wide range of topics.
- Design and develop document library for Service and New Business Marketing related documents.
- Develop new and creative ways to deliver quality training to all employees.
- Work with regional leadership to develop and execute on-boarding plans for new employees and refresher training for existing staff.
- Act as scribe for various project meetings. Includes preparing notes, document take-aways, process documents, and creating tracking plans.
- Deliver training in group and individual settings using virtual formats and in-person as needed.
- Leverage subject matter experts (SME) to develop and deliver training on Select verticals and technical knowledge.
- Communicate with SME and managers to develop Train-the-Trainer processes.
- Participate in project teams to identify training needs for existing or new processes and workflows.
- Determine training needs and provide training for new agency acquisitions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Select Service Academy.
- Act as Select Commercial liaison to the commercial lines training team.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal clients, team members, and vendors.
- Keep current on industry information, technology, and trends.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5 years + experience in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance agency with direct client account manager servicing responsibilities and supporting company training initiatives or equivalent.
- College degree preferred.
- Must hold a state Property & Casualty insurance license.
- In depth knowledge of agency management system functionality, workflow procedures, underwriting, sales, and service processes.
- Experience gathering data from multiple sources to format training materials. Includes PowerPoint decks, Brainshark’s, and technical documents.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, manage projects by deadlines, and create efficiencies.
- Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred but not required.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a climate controlled high pressured, fast-paced office environment with significant telephone and personal disruption. There is limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include walking, sitting, standing, bending, and typing.
Analysis of Physical Demands:
- Constantly (over 66% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as typing, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk.
- Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand, and bend.
- Occasionally (1%-33% of time) work performed may require travel or driving to other USI offices, may have repetitive foot movements, walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend.
- Rarely (< than 1 hour per week) work performed requires lifting/carrying items that range from 10-50lbs, pushing/pulling items that range from 10-50lbs, twisting/turning including reaching over shoulder or above head, kneeling or squatting.
