General Description: Support USI’s national corporate marketing team. Serve as leader and subject matter expert for use of marketing automation tools, digital marketing analysis, and strategy. Develop and execute lead generation strategies to improve new client acquisition and ongoing client communication using Marketo. Analyze and optimize marketing automation campaigns and other digital marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Champion USI’s marketing automation technology. Propose new tools and resources to improve our marketing processes.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Marketo and other marketing technologies.
- Responsible for oversight of data quality and integrity. Includes maintaining accurate account, contact, and sales activity within Marketo.
- Serve as subject matter expert for all Marketo needs.
- Work closely with marketing on lead management strategy. Design and execute customer nurture campaigns and manage leads through the buyer journey.
- Develop digital marketing strategy. Research economic indicators, identify clients current and future needs, and monitor the competition.
- Manage all corporate email campaigns to support external and internal communications.
- Collaborate with regional sales enablement managers and corporate marketing specialists on campaign execution. Includes building landing pages and microsites, tracking codes, and reporting.
- Work with website team on digital marketing initiatives. Includes support for the website (forms, tracking, etc.).
- Develop reporting templates and dashboards. Provide timely and accurate campaign reporting to senior management.
- Evaluate the impact of marketing activities and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Develop checklists and build guardrails to de-risk the environment of potential errors and ensure effective use of system by leader.
- Ensure marketing content and execution is compliant with data protection rules and privacy law.
- Deliver business insights and reporting with action roadmap to improve leader decision making.
- Collaborate with stake holder teams to ensure alignment with department prioritization and goals.
- Keep up to date with advances in digital marketing and AI. Contribute to USI’s technology team on marketing “tech stack” opportunities and concerns relating to requirements and limitations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 8 years + digital marketing and/or marketing operations experience with a focus on performance-based growth marketing. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required. MBA preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a Marketo administrator or similar expertise. Includes a deep understanding of Marketo functionality and reporting, with the ability to develop and implement best practices.
- Marketo certification preferred but not required.
- Google analytics and SEO experience a plus.
- Experience identifying target audiences and developing digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
- Ability to see “big picture” to address business strategies.
- Executive presence with ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to problem-solve creatively and proactively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities with firm deadlines.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time.
