Apply nowGeneral Description: Inside sales position. Responsible for driving business sales, retention and growing existing client revenue. Manage client relationships and drive profitability, satisfaction and organic growth.
Responsibilities:
· Develop positive business relationships, both new and existing, to ensure continued sales growth.
- Meet new business activity and quality appointment goals.
- Use USI resources to research prospects and develop customized messaging for prospects.
- Understand and explain Emerson Reid’s competitive differentiation to clients and prospects.
- Develop sales business plan and use effective prospecting strategies. Overcome sales obstacles on a prospect-specific basis.
· Strategic thinking and innovation based on insurance, market, carrier and product knowledge. Help guide beneficiaries through the complexities of Medicare.
· Work collaboratively with other USI partners and resources to maximize results.
· Pursue cross-selling opportunities to enhance prospect and client relationships.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers.
· Use USI’s contact management and sales automation tool to support sales processes. Input timely and accurate information to facilitate sales and revenue projections and engage in technical resources.
· Assist with the service function for most important cases. Includes additional lines of business sales, case conservation, all renewal and service activities.
· Ensure all annual Medicare related Certification and Compliance regulations are maintained and met to ensure participation in the following years Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).
· Special projects assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
· Life, Accident & Health License required.
· Strong understanding of Medicare, Employee Benefits, and Large Group Retirements Benefits preferred. Willingness to learn all required.
· Personable, highly motivated and goal-oriented. Driven to achieve individual sales goals.
· Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
· A consultative, positive and resourceful approach to dealing with prospect, clients and associates.
· Able to work well independently and in a team-based environment.
· A positive, consultative sales approach.
· Ability to creatively and proactively problem-solve.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Strong analytical skills; capable of using and interpreting benefit related facts and figures.
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include driving, walking, sitting, standing, bending and typing.
Analysis of Physical Demands:
· Constantly (over 66% of time) work performed requires employees to drive to client appointments, have repetitive foot movements, walk on uneven or slippery surfaces to and from work and occasionally reach outward to grab things and bend.
· Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to handle and grasp things, walk on normal surfaces, stand and bend.
· Frequently (34%-66% of time) work performed requires employees to use repetitive hand motions such as fingering, using a keyboard, and sitting at a desk.
· Rarely (< than 1 hour per week) work performed requires lifting/carrying items that range from 10-50lbs, pushing/pulling items that range from 10-50lbs, twisting/ turning including reaching over shoulder or above head, kneeling or squatting.
